Now is the time to find a sponsor and accountability partner(s)! Someone you can count on and trust, and that will support you and encourage you and hold you accountable for your progress at this stage in your recovery and moving forward. If you are having difficulty finding a sponsor or accountability partner, ask God to send you someone! A Sponsor must be someone that has completed the 12 Steps. Any leader at Celebrate Recovery is qualified to be a sponsor. Sponsors are people that you can trust to lead you on a more personal level, someone that you can be open and honest with, and they will hold you accountable for your progress throughout your recovery. An accountability partner is also someone you can trust, but it is not required that they have completed the 12 Steps. This is someone that will support and encourage you, hold you accountable, and will go through the process with you as they progress through their own recovery.
